Mamadou SIMPARA | | Welcome on www.aurep.org, the web site of the Authority for the Promotion of Petroleum Research in Mali, where we are very happy to accommodate you. In order to promote petroleum activities in Mali, the Government has created by ordinance 04-033 of September 23, 2004 ratified by the law n°05 of May 30, 2005, the Authority for the Promotion of Petroleum Research in Mali (AUREP) which is a directorate directly linked to the Ministry for Energy, Mines and Water. |
It is with much enthusiasm and conviction that I agreed this task so important for Mali. I thoroughly commit myself in its development contributing to enhance expension near to all our interior and external partners. Transparency, communication and dialogue are the engines with our partners. We can ensure you that AUREP will not spare any effort to conclude our mission. Mali remains one of the areas in the world which is very under-explored. Its continentality made Mali less attractive and one of its main brakes is always the evacuation of hydrocarbons. However, the major part of the geological data available, materialization of bed rock, the preceding exploration campaigns and drillings carried out in the past, give us real hopes as for a nearest hydrocarbon discovery. It is a question today of confirming these potentialities, so that Mali will become at his turn an oil producer country. I invite you to discover our Web site. Thank you |
